Screening 70-74 year olds The risk of developing breast cancer increases as you grow older, however the National Breast Screening Programme provides screens up to 69 years only. We will fund South Canterbury women aged 70-74 years. Please phone Pacific Radiology on 03 684 8686 for an appointment for your funded mammogram.

Nicola is a Timaru lawyer who brings her experience in the governance of health, education, sport, and community organisations to the Trust. Nicola is motivated to ensure South Canterbury women have equitable access to diagnostics and breast health care and support.
Karyn has a genuine commitment to supporting others, which she actively demonstrates in her position within the People and Capability team at Alpine Energy. She views her role on the Trust as a natural extension of this passion.
Raised in South Canterbury, Karyn has a profound passion for her community and takes pride in being part of a team that shares a common vision of empowering the women within it.
Kia ora. With 30 years of experience across the health sector, I’m Jax, a Nurse Practitioner based in Timaru, dedicated to improving women’s health and reducing health inequities.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep commitment to enhancing patient care, advocating for systems that prioritise wahine and takatāpui, ensuring everyone has access to the best possible healthcare.
I’m particularly passionate about clinical governance, continually exploring innovative approaches to enhance healthcare systems and drive meaningful, positive change.

I'm a general surgeon. I'm passionate about rural patients getting equal access to treatment when compared to their metropolitan sisters.
I'm also an advocate for participation in Registries and audit to ensure that rural women have the same treatment outcomes as metropolitan women.
Jo works for Alpine Energy as a Governance Manager and joined the Trust in 2022 and has assumed the role as Trust Chair.
Jo is passionate about supporting the South Canterbury community and assisting a great team of Trustees to ensure the health needs of women in our region are met.
I am a born and bred Timaru local and have worked in the finance industry for over 20 years. I appreciate the opportunity to give back to the community by being a Trustee and to assist South Canterbury women with access to breast health education, services and support.
